| 'Conversations'
For this series I have produced paintings / drawings that play with the idea of how we converse with other people and sometimes just with ourselves. For many years my art work was about farm animals and the space between them. In this series I am looking at the spaces between people as indications of conversation. This "Conversation Space" is between the figures in the paintings, the artist and the canvas as well as between the paintings and the viewer. |

| 'Cow Series'
Across Europe and many other areas of our world, there are caves where prehistoric humans have drawn, painted and carved images on to the walls.
"The world's oldest paintings" discovered so far, are in the Chauvet caves in France. These cave drawings are believed to have been drawn + - 35,000 years ago. These are of particular fascination to me. In this series you will see images from cave drawings beside images from NZ farm life. I have floated lines on a field of colour, just as cave artists placed lines on the cave walls. |
